job detailsAre you a Healthcare professional looking for a remote Emergency Department Patient Access Representative role with a large established health system? We are looking for experienced patient access representatives that will speak to patients to help them register. You will gather their demographics and verify their insurance all while documenting in EPIC. This position is with a large health system. Hours: Friday- Sunday 8:00am-8:30pm Candidates MUST be located in Georgia to be considered for this position!salary: $15 - $19 per hourshift: Secondwork hours: 8 AM - 8:30 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilities
Answer high volume of calls each day
Patient registration for ED and Urgent Care
Collect patient demographics over the phone
Verify insurance
Speak to patients about co-pays and financial responsibility
Enter data into EPIC (Registration platform)
Speaking with patients
Receives requests for reservations (patient scheduling) from physicians' offices and makes the necessarypre-admission arrangements
Update patient account information
Obtains new medical record numbers for new patients
