Job Description:

Responsible for accurately obtaining blood samples via venipuncture and capillary collection procedures with minimum customer discomfort

Provides care to patients whose ages range from infant to geriatric

Ensures specimen integrity by adhering to the laboratory’s procedures for specimen collection, handling, and processing

This role will be responsible for drawing blood and processing of samples

Processing is inclusive of collection of insurance, scanning insurance card, inputting/updating patient demographics (contact information, address, etc.), entering billing codes, spin down specimens, send outs for other labs if needed, send outs to CPL lab, print shipping labels, box specimens, utilize software systems to do so
