Production Cook Job Description
Fresh 'n Fit Cuisine is a regional company manufacturing and marketing ready-to-eat meals to health conscious individuals. Since 2003 we have provided chef prepared gourmet meals that have helped people lose weight and manage chronic health conditions.
Location: Cumming, GA
Facility Production Schedule: Tuesday-Friday, 7am-6pm- Closed on Major Holidays
The Production Cook is responsible for food prep and preparing food in large batch quantities while following recipes and production guides. Efficiency, consistency and quality are critical components of this key position in our commercial kitchen facility.
The Fresh 'n Fit Cuisine campus is a drug free workplace. A pre-employment drug test is required along with a background check.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform high volume batch cooking while adhering to recipes and quality specifications
Responsible for prepping food products to be used in entrees, casseroles, soups, fish, meats, vegetables, salads or other food recipes and food preparations.
Responsible for cooking and baking various meal components ranging from meats, vegetables to side items such as rice, pasta, soups as well as baking breads and other baked goods.
Maintains a safe, orderly and sanitized work area adhering to The Georgia Dept. of Agriculture proper food handling standards.
Maintain FNF food quality standards for all food items prepped or cooked.
Cupping and bagging product to weight/portion specification.
Assist with all phases of food production and packing including inventory and storage rotation, food preparation, recipe adherence and meal packaging.
Proper inventory management- proper storage and inventory rotation.
Adhere to all dress code and hygiene requirements
Attend company meetings as required
Minimum 2 years of culinary job experience that includes large batch cooking
Good math skills
Must possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members.
Must be able to work unsupervised.
Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and kitchen personnel.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule.
Must be physically able to lift 25 pounds often and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
