Production Planner/scheduler

opportunity for a Production Planner/Scheduler to join our team in

Lawrenceville, GA. Our ideal candidate will have experience planning and

scheduling shop production orders to meet delivery dates and work by the

master schedules. As Production Planner/Scheduler, this individual will

be responsible for identifying any capacity constraints and providing

input/suggestions to Manufacturing Manager in the event of shortages or

other potential schedule interruptions. This position will report to the

Sr. Planning Manager.Responsibilities:Responsible for the planning of

production and release of work orders to meet delivery dates, and in

accordance with the master schedulesWorks alongside programmers to

ensure routings are created prior to releasing work ordersWorks closely

and meets weekly with planning leadership ensuring shop level work

orders scheduling is aligned with the master schedulesProvides input and

updates when shortages or other potential schedule interruptions

occurCompiles and releases documentation packagesConducts periodic

follow up on materialsProvides estimated ship dates to Sales team and

provides feedback on a regular basisVerifies material transaction

accuracy and periodic closing of completed work ordersIdentifies and

flags shortagesFollows up to ensure commit dates are maintainedProvides

backup to other production planners if neededAll other duties as

assignedQualities:Will be required to use professional concepts and

company policies and procedures to solve moderately complex problems in

creative and effective waysWill work on moderately complex problems

where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of

various factorsWill be required to be very familiar with ERP system and

use it continually in performing job dutiesExercises judgment within

broadly defined procedures and practices in selecting methods and

techniques for obtaining optimal solutionsMay determine methods and

procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other

personnelMinimum Experience:Minimum 4 years working in a manufacturing

environmentPreferred Education/Certifications:Bachelor's degree

preferred from an accredited university of college, or 4 years

equivalent experience directly related to productions

planning/schedulingTargeted Compensation: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00,
