Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a QA Tester for an opportunity with a client located in Sandy Springs, GA. This client is seeking a Senior Automation / Development Engineer with end-to-end development and testing experience in building software products within an agile environment. This individual will be responsible for test automation support of talech's digital boarding platform, which includes ensuring the quality of the final product through the build out of manual and automated tests.

The Senior Automation / Development Engineer combines aspects of a traditional developer and tester into a single position responsible for the design and release of quality code in short, releasable, and iterative increments. This position will include automation test design, automated script creation, and coordination with other groups within Talech to deliver the overall solution. It is critical for this position to have not only the technical skills relative to development and testing, but strong collaboration and communication skills in order to support their agile scrum team.

Responsibilities:

Ensure integration and maintenance of test automation scripts into the CI/CD pipeline
Ensure consistency in process and documentation of test automation approach within and across teams
Support usage and analysis of new automation tools
Develops, implements, and maintains automated test scripts
Use of cutting edge test automation tools for Web, Mobile, and Desktop applications (i.e. Selenium, Appium)
Perform manual testing as required
Provide test execution reporting through tools such as ALM, JIRA
Sets the direction for and oversees the work of other testers (in future state)

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent work experience
At least eight years of work experience in Application Development/IT Systems Testing, and team leadership

Preferred Skills/Experience

Functional Testing experience, including ability to create, maintain and execute both manual and automated tests
DevOps capabilities - containers, cloud, automation, security, configuration management, CI/CD
Extensive knowledge in modeling and application design and architecture
Expert programming knowledge skills
Expert knowledge in IT/Software quality assurance
Expert knowledge with system/application testing tools and implementation
Strong understanding of Information Management
Experience in: Unit Testing (including automation and integration with CI systems) and Agile Software Development (typically Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
Open, honest, collaborative and clear intra-team communication skills
Entirely self-directed, can solve business problems from inception to implementation- can solve business problems without explicit direction
Creative, flexible, and willing to continuously change, evolve, and improve software development processes
Strong understanding of system and network architecture
Ability to identify, resolve, and retest defects
Leads by example; providing support and mentoring as needed to ensure sufficient skill, knowledge and effectiveness in the development and testing process
Demonstrated technical leadership and direction
Demonstrated enterprise-level collaboration and system architecture design
Demonstrated mentorship of more junior resources in technical and business topics
Knowledge in CI/CD solutions, such as Jenkins and Maven
Ability to analyze features to deliver solutions that meet business needs
Ability to follow policy requirements related to documentation and other processes
Strong attention to detail
Strong time management skills and communication/leadership skills

ReadyAPI and RestAssured
Behavior Driven Development Experience
jQuery, JavaScript
