Job Summary:Under the guidance of the Quality Manager, conducts root-cause analysis of process deviations and non-conforming parts in order to facilitate corrective action activities. Ensures correct documentation is captured in both the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and Quality systems to restore flow of parts. Responsible for ensuring compliance to customer and Company quality system specifications and requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Conducts root-cause analysis of process deviations and non-conforming parts

Works closely with Hot shop Engineering Team to ensure all parts are dispositioned in a timely manner

Ensures that deviations are correctly captured in the Quality Management System

Enters data into the ERP system and adds additional stages as appropriate

Restores flow of parts according to plant priorities

Ensure compliance to Howmet and customer quality system requirements

Assist with non-conforming product concession submittal

Review work instructions and specifications in area of responsibility

Participate on Internal Audit team and become qualified to conduct audits on own

Complete all audits, forms, and reports as required by the customer

Ensure proper identification and packaging as required

Perform other duties as assigned

Must be able to read engineering drawings and specifications, have knowledge of geometric dimension and tolerancing principles and have the ability to use measuring devices common to the manufacturing industry.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.

Ability to perform conversion calculations (e.g. metric to inches, Celsius to Fahrenheit). Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Ability to perform root cause analysis.

Computer Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Familiar with Quality Management Systems

Familiar with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems

Certificates, licenses, or registration

Qualified Internal or Lead Auditor preferred but not required.

Associate degree or from a technical or business school and a minimum of one year of related experience;

or three years of experience in a quality related role

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Quality or Process Control

Bachelor degree in an Engineering or other technical field is preferred

AS9100 / ISO9000 / AS13100 experience is preferred
