Summary:We are seeking a Registered Professional Electrical Engineer (PE) with significant experience in control and power systems design and inspection for movable bridges. The qualifying Professional Engineer will be responsible for quality, design, and review of movable bridge electrical design and inspection services.General Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for overall supervision and quality of assigned projects.
Assures that the project is completed within the allocated period of time and within the budget that has been assigned.
Controls project plan by approving design, specifications, plans, and schedules changes.
Provides team leadership. Plans, organizes, and supervises the work of staff engineers and technicians.
Mentors other employees.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Initiates and maintains extensive contracts with key people to other organizations in the movable bridge industry.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience with at least three movable bridge electrical control systems within the last 10 years
Experience with the commonly used bridge leaf motion-control techniques used within the last 30 years
Minimum 15 years movable bridge control systems Electrical Engineering experience
Registered as a licensed Professional Engineer
Ability to become a licensed Professional Engineer in other states, as needed
Willing and able to travel as required for national movable bridge projects
Preferred Qualifications:
Moveable bridge inspection experience
Railroad moveable bridge experience
