Scrum Master - Wealth Management Technology

MS Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology: Our Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology is the global technology department responsible for the design, development, delivery and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the our Wealth Management (MSWM) business. The department is comprised of 10 organizations: Sales, Banking & Corporate-Client Technology, Investment Products & Markets Technology, Client Reporting, Core Processing, Private and International Wealth Management Technology, Technology Integration Office, Enterprise Infrastructure & Production Management, Capital Markets Application & Data Services, Deployment Planning & Release Management, and the Chief Operating Office.

Scrum Master Profile: The ideal scrum master has experience leading multiple squads/teams for various complex initiatives. They are equipped to provide front-to-back technology solutions in a fast paced, dynamic environment with multiple cross-functional teams and external dependencies. They partner with business and technology groups to understand the functional needs and support the team in delivering valuable products following the agile framework

Responsibilities:• The Scrum Master promotes and supports the agile process within and outside the squad• Provides visibility into delivery targets, commitments and progress integrating Agile & Lean principles• Proactively identifies impediments and appropriately resolves using agile methods, relationship management and influential skills• Coaches PO and team to adopt agile methodologies to simplify project delivery • Uses team feedback and metrics to identify areas of opportunity and improvement• Partners with stakeholders and team to lead and help execute project from inception to client delivery • Cross squad and fleet dependency management• Ability to work across different time zones and find innovative ways to maximize communication and efficiency across team members that are not co-located

Projects: • Projects in support of or directly related to our Company’s recent E-TRADE Acquisition • Institutional Wealth Mgt projects in the digital technology space

Mandatory Qualifications:• Good understanding of software development lifecycle, waterfall and agile development principles• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a financial institution, technology firm or project management department of a mid to large size corporation• Background and knowledge of banking and/or digital products• Extraordinary judgment and composure in high-pressure situations• Ability to see the big picture and provide clarity in ambiguous situations to achieve efficiency and productivity at an individual team and project level• Excellent communication skills.• Meticulous attention to detail• Proficient in Microsoft tools: Excel, Visio, MS Projects, PowerPoint• Experience with JIRA or other agile projects• Experience with Mobile App teams (native or hybrid) preferred but not mandatory
