Job Description

Toll has entered into an agreement to sell the GE (Toll IPEC) business and is in the separation process. Part of technology’s role in the separation is to ensure the new business entity Toll IPEC is enabled by an IT environment that will enable the responsiveness required. To this end, IT technology and commercial are currently working together on separating the contracts and aligning organisational requirements that require strong commercial, vendor management leadership and capability.

This aim or this role is to represent Toll IPEC and ensure the outcomes are equitable and competitive, in addition to providing strong contract and vendor management leadership to the separation team. The role will have a solid line to the Head of Procurement, with a dotted line to the Head of IT.

The ideal candidate will be able to engage in both tactical and strategic conversations and negotiations with internal and external stakeholders.

As the Senior Procurement Manager- IT, you will:

  • Lead and deliver commercial value for Toll IPEC on all relevant IT Separation Programs of work.
  • Develop a cohesive commercial strategy and roadmap to realize maximum benefit for every dollar Toll IPEC spends throughout the process.
  • Co-ordinating and Managing contract negotiations and split for Toll IPEC.
  • Commercial management including management of RFP, negotiation and establishment of contracts, transition to BAU functions.
  • Engage with stakeholders to determine the most appropriate sourcing strategy/methodology to satisfy business requirements.
  • Managing both the vendors and Toll against the commercial and contractual obligations
  • Managing the contract variation and separation process
  • Representing Toll IPEC IT Commercial function at Project Control Boards
  • Work closely with separation program decision makers and principals to understand and interpret business requirements into commercial and contractual terms.
  • Ensure all agreements contain relevant legislation, policies, industry best practices.
  • Ensure effective escalation, prioritization and decision-making processes are being followed throughout the process.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 7+ years as a Vendor and/or Sourcing Manager in a medium/large global organization conducting strategic vendor management of large/complex IT deals.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with global Tier 1 service providers, Indian heritage service providers and niche service providers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s or Post-Graduate in Business, Commercial, IT, Legal or a related discipline
