Title Senior System AdministratorDuration: FTE/PermanentLocation: Hybrid remote/onsite in Atlanta, GASalary: 120K +bonus A direct client in the Risk Management Industry is seeking an experienced Senior System Admin to support several customer facing solutions.The Senior System Admin will provide day-to-day operational support for our customer relationship management Applications.Due to the 247 support of our system, the position will participate in an on-call rotation and regularly scheduled after-hours maintenance activities. RESPONSIBILITIES:• Provide support to applications on both Linux and Windows• Provide support to application systems connected to local and wide area networks.• Provide Application deployments.• Delivers application support and maintenance services.• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of applications and management of system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems• Provide support to IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all applications.• Provide support in problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution• Install/load operating system both Linux and Windows• Perform software installations, upgrades and patching to Unix/Windows operating systems.• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers• Isolate and resolve hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination.• Conduct routine and emergency maintenance of assigned applications.• Communicate/coordinate scheduled preventive maintenance windows with potentially impacted customers• Collaborate and contribute to the development, administration, and testing of backup, recovery, and DR plans• Maintain operational, configuration, and other standard operating procedures (SOPs)• Verify system availability with existing Enterprise toolsCOMPETENCIES• Technical Skills - Assesses own strengths and weaknesses; Pursues training and development opportunities; Strives to build knowledge and skills continuously; Shares expertise with others.• Interpersonal Skills - Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming; Maintains confidentiality; Listens to others without interrupting; Keeps emotions under control; Remains open to others' ideas and tries new things.• Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities; Exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; Gives and welcomes feedback; Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Puts success of team above own interests;Able to make morale and group commitments to goals and objectives; Supports everyone's efforts to succeed. EDUCATIONBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline or equivalent experience KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE• Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience.• Experience with Kubernetes, Dockers, Ansible, and VMware• UNIX and Windows, administration• Experience working with trouble reporting and tracking systems• Experience Installing, loading, and troubleshooting application software (claims/insurance-related experience is a plus)• Ability to create and modify scripts (Python, Shell, Powershell) in multiple disciplines on Windows and Linux systems• DevOps experience using Jenkins & Ansible• COGNOS experience is a plus• Database Oracle or SQL Server experience is a plus No third parties please as this is a FTE/Permanent opportunity
