Ford Pro is looking for a detailed and results oriented leader to become a part of our global Information Technology team as a Software Security Engineering Manager. This role is critical to the strategic and tactical success of Ford Pro’s cybersecurity product line. As the leader of this team, you will be responsible for enabling, providing strategic and operational direction of our security engineering solutions and cybersecurity tool stack.What you’ll do…

Act as a subject matter expert on Cloud and product security to provide engineering security advisory guidance to Pro Tech product teams.

Provide technical product security leadership to multiple product groups within Ford Pro.

Design and deliver industry-leading secure products and services to maximize value and productivity for commercial customers.

Partnering with product teams across the Pro Tech organization to influence and enable security by design to help drive overall direction of our technical security solutions.

Increasing the efficacy of our enterprise security tool portfolio (e.g., 42 Crunch, Checkmarx, API Security, IAM, and Cloud technologies) in Pro Tech

Driving standards and expectations of secure practices across the organization such as data security, least privilege, and defense-in-depth

Developing content and KPIs for Ford enterprise Cybersecurity tools for multiple teams across Pro tech

Collaborate with other enterprise cybersecurity leadership to assess and understand strategic initiatives to ensure product Security.

Develop security KPI dashboards of various security vulnerabilities and provide guidance on security remediation.

Act as a liaison between Ford Pro engineering team and enterprise cybersecurity team to assist product teams in negotiating security solutions based on Pro Tech product architectures and software engineering processes.

Interface and influence leaders at varying levels and roles within the company to drive and enable security ownership.

Keeping up to date with the security landscape to ensure our teams are providing strong defenses.

Creating and implementing a development and training plan to support growth and skills advancement.

Ensures security engineering excellence (e.g. security best practices and quality) is achieved within Ford Pro

Be a people leader up to 10 direct reports, mentor, coach and foster their career growth

Provide thought leadership for the security processes, and tools used within Ford Pro.

Innovate and operate with an iterative, agile and user-centric perspective.

Clearly communicate Ford Pro and enterprise product security strategy and vision to product teams and internal and external stakeholders.

You'll have

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

5+ years as a technical leader implementing product security solutions, string problem solving skills, identifying risks and championing that change.

5 years of experience with Authentication and authorization tools (e.g., OpenID Connect, SSO, SAML, IAM, JWT)

Cloud and implications of cybersecurity

Strong knowledge of cybersecurity concepts

Secure protection and detection techniques

Application security

Vulnerabilities management

Exploitation techniques

Incident response

Data privacy and encryption

3+ years of experience interfacing with varying levels of leadership and roles within a company influencing security change.

Minimum of 5+ years’ experience with modern security technology stacks and standards

3 years of experience with Cloud security tools (e.g., WAF, Web Proxies, GCP Cloud Armor)

3 years of experience with Security scanning tools (e.g.,Checkmarx, 42 Crunch, Cycode)

Ability to jump in and assist product lines and product teams to resolve security issues.

Focus on delivering product value through reusable services and technologies that other product teams can leverage.

Initiates or translates the Pro Tech Cybersecurity Road map into manageable product features in the backlog through quarterly scoping sessions. Work hands-on with the product teams to prioritize, plan, and deliver the product security solutions.

Attends Ford Pro Technology councils and cascades relevant information to appropriate members of their product line.

Identifies areas within software delivery process and application ecosystem that require cohesion across the platform and addresses them through common security policies.

Assess the security feasibility of the product group roadmaps.

Employs and/or champions Agile security processes, culture, best practices, and techniques.

Actively works to identify and remove/ mitigate security risks and blockers to product delivery.

Assesses the overall health of the product security and prompts key decisions to move it forward.
