Job Description Our client is seeking a highly motivated and qualified application developer with experience in front and back-end development. The successful candidate will join a dynamic project team developing and supporting our Transportation Management Systems. A positive attitude with a focus on results, excellent communication skills, proven analytical skills, the ability to work successfully with business partners and effective participation in a team environment are key to this position. Development responsibilities include overall application design and development primarily using Angular and Go.

Education 4-yr college degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test and release high quality software that fulfill end user requirements
  • Maintain development standards, practices and principles
  • Build scalable and maintainable software
  • Communication and collaboration with end-users, co-workers, managers, and other stakeholders are a key component of this role
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative and attention to detail during daily operations

Skills Required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Object Oriented design and development
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in application development using JavaScript or Typescript
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in development using SQL, relational databases, and the ability to write and optimize complex queries
  • Expertise in implementing microservices
  • Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Basic experience with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, Concourse, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Skills Preferred
  • Experience with Angular, Go or C programming languages
  • Experience with .NET is a plus
  • Experience developing in an agile environment
  • Experience with Informix
  • Experience supporting mission critical applications
  • Familiarity with testing strategies and automated testing
