Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team located in Alpharetta, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and closing accounts at the end of each month. This role is vital to ensuring the financial health and transparency of our organization.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships Work with other finance teams to help ensure appropriate financial controls are in place Assist in the preparation of technical accounting memos.

Requirements
Must hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field A minimum of three years of experience in an Accounting role Proficiency in month-end close procedures Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Advanced proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Excel, or other accounting software Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal skills for interacting accountants, consultants, and upper management Good organizational skills for managing multiple timelines and requests Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment Ability to work independently, take initiative, and handle various tasks simultaneously Willingness to adapt to changing business and technical environments Must have a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
