- Experience on BPCS/LX ERP system.
- Working with the business team to gather requirements and translate them into a Business Requirement Document (BRD).
- Develop technical design document working with Application Architect based on BRD
- Develop Physical design considering impact analysis on internal and external applications connected to back office system
- Programming on AS400 technologies viz RPG/400, RPGLE, CLLE, SQL, CGI
- Hosting and consuming web service on As400 (GBT uses Kringetech RPG-XML tool set for development of web service) XML, Jason schema validation (yajl) on As400
- Creating Application server on AS400
- Performance testing for Web Service IN/OUT interface
- Web service security requirement.
- Define Test Plan, perform unit, and string testing
- Provide support for User Acceptance Testing & Post Implementation - Resolve issues reported by users based on criticality of the impact on internal and external customers.
- Skill Set & Background
- Extensive knowledge on AS/400 platform includes RPG/400, RPGLE, CLLE, SQL/400 , SQLRPGLE and DB2/400 is necessary
- Extensive knowledge on Hosting and consuming Web Service on AS400 is necessary
- Hands on experience on Web service security, App server, Performance testing
- Hands on Experience on change management tools TURNOVER, X-ANALYSIS, HAWKEYE
- Working experience on Integrated File System, NetWorking concepts on AS/400 platform
- Advanced skills in analysing, designing, developing, implementing and maintaining application code on Back office application
- Demonstrated experience in application development, complex code development, application testing and component design.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of technology & architectural concepts.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Ability to create technical documentation
- Strong team player and self-starter attitude. Competencies & Technical Skills Known
- Professional development experience on AS/400 platform including Web Service development experience
- 5+ years of software development experience and solid understanding of programming concepts.
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MS or related field.
