- Perform duties under general direction from the team lead
- Develop and maintain dynamic Java based solutions working independently or as part of a collaborative group
- Learn Client's development processes and standards and utilize same to perform the functions of the job
- Participate in design, estimation, analysis and programming tasks
- Assist in the creation of technical specifications
- Investigate issues assigned by team lead and propose resolutions
- Write well designed, testable efficient code
- Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
- Prepare and produce release components and documentation
- Other responsibilities as may be assigned
- Some travel may be required
- SBS in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent, preferred
- Minimum of 6+ year Java development work experience (Including significant classwork, internship, or cooperative experience)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proven hands on Software development experience
- Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (Spring, Hibernate)
- Experience with test driven development
- Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Spring MVC, JSP/Struts)
- This position is subject to a background check

- Excellent attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with J2EE, Portal, SOAP and RESTful Web Services is a plus
- Experience with Web 2.0 technologies like JQuery, Angular and Bootstrap is a plus
