The Sr. Network Engineer has key ownership of day-to-day network based activities within Inspire Brand's Corporate offices, Data Centers and Cloud networks. This position has a very strong operational focus, requiring a disciplined engineer with meticulous troubleshooting skills. Along with providing "hands and feet" support as needed at our Atlanta Global Support Center and other Atlanta based locations, this engineer manages the Corporate Networking team queues within various ticketing systems. Operational excellence is expected and will be evidenced by results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the ServiceNow ticket queues for the Corporate Networking team, driving requests from creation to completion.
  • Follow established processes, suggest improvements and meet established OLAs/SLAs tied to operational support.
  • Interact with various IT teams and business units to understand requirements and troubleshoot outages.
  • Create change controls and defend them for approval at Change Review Board meetings.
  • Monitor network services and respond to alerts. Identify any trends or irregular activities and escalate to leadership.
  • Create and maintain documentation and network diagrams.
  • Support the business cloud based VoIP system
  • Support corporate AV needs as necessary.
  • Perform asset management and maintain hardware inventory.
  • Identify opportunities for improved efficiency in automation.
  • Ensure licensing compliance across firewalls, switches, and access points.
  • Provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Provide ad-hoc support for projects as needed.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:
  • Four year degree in IT or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • CCNP-level of knowledge expected in networking theory, although active certifications are not required.
  • Cloud and automation certifications are a plus.

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:
  • Minimum 5+ years as a Network Engineer/Admin or 5+ years as a NOC Engineer in an operational capacity.
  • 2+ years supporting cloud VoIP systems.
  • 7+ years within the IT field in an enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrable history of success with customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Azure Terraform skillset a significant plus
  • Restaurant, Retail or hospitality industry relevant experience a plus.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES:
  • Ability to change design, build new call structures and troubleshoot operational issues.
  • Strong knowledge of dynamic routing protocols, BGP and OSPF mandatory
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in-person, over the phone and in writing.
  • CCNP-level of general networking knowledge (mid-level skills, a master of fundamentals
  • Complete understanding of TCP/IP protocols and the OSI model.
  • Ability to fully configure and support routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers regardless of platform due to your mastery of networking fundamentals.
  • Skilled with Cisco IOS, IOS-XR, Nexus, FTD and ASA code.
  • Skilled with Meraki switches and access points+
  • Skilled with Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • Skilled with Fortinet firewalls and Fortinet suite of management applications
  • Complete knowledge of VPN encryption technologies (IPSEC, RA). DMVPN is a plus.
  • Ability to support Azure, Oracle and AWS networks.
  • Knowledge of RingCentral systems.
  • Knowledge of Network Access Control technologies.
  • Ability to read, implement and administer network diagnostic software: SNMP and Netflow
  • Ability to build and support corporate AV systems.
  • Working knowledge of other IT facets like Server, DB, Storage, Security, Cloud, etc. to "see the big picture".
  • Highly developed analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems using a methodical troubleshooting approach.
  • Ability to interpret packet captures and take action based on the data.
  • Ability to maintain focus and resolve when priorities rapidly and often change under pressure.
  • Ability to manage small projects.
  • Strong technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to create aesthetic Visio diagrams.
  • Ability to learn new technologies independently.
  • Strongly Preferred - Scripting and automation: Terraform, Ansible and Python
