Ledgent Technology is actively looking for a Sr. Oracle PL/SQL Developer for a Permanent, Direct-Hire role
Candidates Must be located in the Atlanta area and willing to go in-office 3 Days/Week.This Sr. Oracle Database Developer will work with other Engineers to plan, design, develop, and maintain the enterprise software components for the Technologies team. The job requires excellent working knowledge of the Database technologies, Oracle/PLSQL specifically. The job requires someone who is highly skilled in using agile development methodology to convert a business requirement into a working software application Key Responsibilities- Design, develop and maintain enterprise level, scalable solutions software using Oracle PL/SQL, Python and Shell Script (KSH)
- Active involvement in the end-to-end SDLC, from requirement gathering till delivery
- Develop specifications including functional/non-functional requirements, detailed design, code, and test procedures as part of agile/iterative Solutions Software development team.
- Perform code reviews with the team to improve quality with established best practices and coding standards
- Identify technical debts and areas of improvements in the software product in collaboration with the Architects and other SMEs.
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science or a related degree
- Extensive software development experience (7+ years)
- Advanced level understanding of the Oracle internal architecture
- Hands-on experience in writing Database Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Indexes, etc.
- Experience using PL/SQL Collections.
- Hands-on experience in developing complex SQL queries using analytics functions.
- Advanced level understanding of Oracle Partitions
- Experience with Oracle External table, SQLLDR.
- Experience with Oracle performance tuning, analyzing AWR, Oracle Execution Plan.
- Hands-on experience in working in Unix environment.
- Hands-on experience in Shell Script (KSH), Python.
- Experience in using tools such as, Jira, Confluence/Wiki, TFS.
- Experience in the source code repository, such as Subversion (SVN), GIT/Gerrit.
- Experience in In-memory database and new features in Oracle 19c will be a plus.
