Job DescriptionHow will you make an impact?Responsible for the Technical sales and related support activities for Flow Cytometry Instrumentation, specializing in analyzers, to specified academic, government or industrial accounts in the Southeast US area.What will you do:· Demonstrate selling success in the area of flow cytometry analyzers and cell sorters· Display an acute awareness of the life science marketplace, particularly with cell analysis, its trends and our competitors· Prior experience working in a laboratoryThe Flow Cytometry Instrument portfolio contains innovative, high-quality flow cytometry analyzers and cell sorters! Our business unit serves researchers worldwide, accelerating the process of scientific discovery with a strong focus on the areas of applied markets, cellular immunity, immunotherapy and oncology.Who are we looking for:Requires a BA or BS in Biology, Immunology or related field, preferred M.Sc. or PhDExperience· Previous lab experience using flow cytometry or previous sales experience selling flow cytometry equipment and/or reagents· Strong technical background with a minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in a research laboratory setting· Background and familiarity with Flow Cytometry· Experience in working efficiently in a matrix environmentKnowledge, Skills, Abilities· Strong oral and written communication skills· Success in working and driving business growth across business functions· Ability to travel overnight travel up to 50% of the time· Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record· Able to lift 35 lbs. independently· Experience with Microsoft Office applications· Knowledge of CRM systems like SFDC· Outstanding understanding of the sales funnel and how to move sales forward in a changing environment· Can-do demeanor and highly motivated to win sales and take share from competitorsWe offer motivating and multi-divisional tasks in an innovative and international working environment.About us:At Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 70,000 outstanding minds has a unique story to tell.
