Our client has an excellent opportunity available for a Sr. Project Manager to work in a permanent, hybrid position in Atlanta, GA. They have been developing & delivering content management systems to major news companies for over 30 years, offering a great company culture with work-from-home availability.
They are looking for a Project Manager who is comfortable with some light travel assisting with their application delivery releases. They are currently using the Half Double project management methodology, which uses principles of Agile while emphasizing business impact in projects. In this role, you will have the overall responsibility for the implementation of our proprietary software solutions, driving a focus on business impact in consultation with stakeholders.The salary range is $90k - $105k + $7,000 bonus + travel incentive bonusThis is a permanent full-time opportunity offering a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, plus 401(k) with matching, (PTO) and more. Responsibilities of the Sr. Project Manager:- Employ principles from both agile and other project management methodologies to lead projects for international news organizations all the way from initial specifications to launch
- Manage project members to maintain a healthy and results-driven team environment
- Provide project status to client stakeholders and leadership
- Perform project budgeting and invoicing
- Negotiate project scope changes with clients
- Analyze project delivery processes in cooperation with other managers to identify improvements
- Lead on-site activities at clients' offices worldwide; a moderate amount of travel is expected (25%+)
- At least 5 years of experience running complex IT projects
- PMP, Scrum Master, IPMA, or other relevant PM certification
- Extensive experience with project management software e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence
- A Bachelor's degree or higher
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in Spanish, German, French, and/or Portuguese is a plus
- Familiarity with the news media industry is a plus
- Proficiencies in Agile, Scrum, CMS, & Digital/SDLC initiatives are also a plus
