Ledgent Technology in Atlanta is actively looking for a Sr. Software QA Engineer for a Permanent, Direct-Hire role!
Candidates MUST be located in the metro Atlanta area, and available to work IN-OFFICE 3 days/week.The Software QA Engineer should have excellent working knowledge of testing methodologies and quality processes, and will be responsible for developing and executing test plans using technical requirements and design specifications as input, analyzing test results, performing data validation, tracking defects and providing regular status. The job requires someone who is highly skilled in performing testing tasks related to database, backend processes and front-end applications. Key Responsibilities:- Establish methodologies, standards and procedures for requirements analysis, test plan preparation, test procedure development and execution, documentation of results and reporting.
- Write test cases, execute them, analyze test results, perform data validation, track defects and provide regular status.
- Use different techniques while performing testing tasks related to database, backend processes and front-end applications.
- Defects documentation and verification
- Troubleshoot Test environment related issues and capture the required logs.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant Engineering field required
- Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience with Software Testing web, GUI, database and Client/Server applications on multiple platforms, primary focused on Unix/Linux based environments.
- Must possess a minimum of 5 years experience with testing Java and Open source enterprise applications.
- Must have good experience working with databases, such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- Certified in any of the following software testing-related certifications is a plus: Certified Software/firmware Quality Analyst (CSQA), Certified Software/firmware Tester (CSTE), Certified Software/firmware Project Manager (CSPM), Certified Software/firmware Test Professional (CSTP), Certified Test Manager (CTM), or similar.
- Must have good experience in testing of multi-layered enterprise software with Web GUI, Webservices/APIs, Database on Linux/Unix platform.
- Experience in SOAP/REST Webservices/APIs testing.
- Hands-on experience in writing simple to complex PL/SQL queries.
- Experience in application deployment on JBoss or equivalent Application Server and debugging the Application Server related issues.
- Basic understanding of Web technologies, including architecture, server configurations, XML and Security protocols such as SSL, TLS, SAML.
- Experience in testing of Queue based messaging (JMS) application using tools like SoapUI.
- Should we well versed in Unix/Linux commands.
- Must have working experience in Requirement, Defect and Source code management tools, such as, Jira, Confluence, Subversion, GIT, TFS.
