Level 4Description:
This Software Engineer role will develop automation, tooling, and observability solutions for our market data delivery platforms. Will work with multiple development, QA, and operations teams to reduce efforts to troubleshoot and understand how our systems work. If you love to dig in and figure out how all the pieces work together and build the tools and automation to improve observability let's talk.What you will be doing Automate everything - if we are going to do it more than once how can we automate it Engage with other internal teams and vendors to understand their products and roadmaps Design and develop new software solutions that improve operations and reduce development effort Reduce our applications: MTTR through monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and automating recovery processes. Productizing existing tools - ensure they are scalable and easy to use and provide appropriate insights into our ecosystem.What skills we require Experience in Financial Services / Markets Java or scripting languages like Python, NodeJS, Shell programming experience (moderate skills required) Experience working with critical distributed systems and ensuring they stay highly available and high performance. Experience with real-time / streaming data - WebSockets, Apache Kafka, etc. Excellent problem-solving skills, and a desire and comfort to dig into problems Building easily consumable dashboarding / monitoring, and alerting (Grafana, ELK, BigPanda) A drive to document what is developed (READMEs, API docs, Wiki-style pages, etc.)What skills we would like Working with APM tools Networking knowledge - load balancing, load balancer schemes, etc. Automated testing experience Working in agile development Troubleshooting Java applications and tuning them for performance Web development experience Skills and understanding of cloud computing (Azure or AWS) Experience developing SQL queries- ID: #44830736
