As Supply Planner, you will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels according to safety stock targets, communicating with Operations teams across the network to ensure production aligns with departmental goals. Will drive Supply Planning portion of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process, ensuring data validation and presenting plan to Executive Leadership. What kind of things will you be doing as Supply Planner?
Production Planning:Create and maintain Operational production plans, taking into consideration various factors that influence supply such as plant constraints, material availability, and demand plans.
Internal Supply Planning Tool:Continuously check and balance supply planning model with production and inventory targets at item level, achieving accuracy around historical data using advanced formula and reference techniques where necessary.
KPI Monitoring and Improvement:Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply planning, such as inventory accuracy, manufacturing efficiency, and customer service levels. Develop strategies to improve these KPIs.
SIOP Reporting:Prepare comprehensive reports and insights to present at Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) forums, enabling informed decision-making based on demand output and safety stock plans.
Collaboration:Work closely with operations, customer service, and material planning teams to gather data and insights, ensuring alignment between supply plans and business goals.
Promotion Planning:Collaborate with the demand and material planning teams to develop and execute production plans, making sure they align on the promotional % lift and ensuring that inventory levels account for increased sales during promotions.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks to supply planning, such as supply chain disruptions, machine downtime, and labor constraints, and develop contingency plans to minimize impact and reduce Slow-Moving and Obsolete Inventory (SMOI).
Capacity Visibility: Report back to Demand Planning and Executive Management on realistic production outputs in order to freeze manufacturing plans and right-size inventory expectations based on sales goals.
Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to streamline demand forecasting and planning processes.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain and/or Business Administration preferred.
Advanced Supply Chain Planning certification from ASCM (APICS) / ISM preferred.
4+ years’ experience in supply chain/ production & inventory planning in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
2+ years' ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
Experience in consumer goods & wholesale with import/ export knowledge preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, with advanced usage of VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and cell reference formulas.
Demonstrate knowledge of inventory planning process, including rolling ending inventories based on production & sales. Demand or material planning experience a plus.
Must have expertise pulling and manipulating reports from data systems such as MS Dynamics 365 and PowerBI.
Will interact daily with Operations, Customer Service, Supply Planning Analyst and Material Planners, reporting findings back to Demand Planning Manager.
Accurate and timely records maintenance.
Sense of urgency around communication.
Ability to influence and hold operations and customer service partners accountable.
Proactive task orientation, with willingness to make phone calls to facilitate prompt information.
Meeting preparedness by cross checking multiple sources.
Skilled and effective communication and interpersonal skills required.
Process minded (process improvement suggestions and implementation a plus).
Excellent critical thinking skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
A bias for solution focused communication.
Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
This position may require up to 5% travel to other facilities/locations.
