Description:We need a survey technician (ideally 2 years of surveying experience) who knows layouts and how to run the layout equipment. We need someone who is really good at running Layout Equipment and GPS for a 2+ year project ramping up in April at a data center in Atlanta.The survey technician will be responsible for showing the crews precisely where to dig, staking out areas, and as they are digging ensuring they are not digging too deep or too high per plans. The crews will then lay conduit then the surveyor will collect as-builts in Total Station and send back to the office for review.This person is responsible for all reporting on site and reports back to the project manager.Day to Day: Loading up job site map, walking through with crews (typically 2-3) back check elevations, collecting as-builts, ensuring everything is squared away utilizing Total Station & GPS data collector equipment.Responsibilities & Expectations: Assists in determining elevations and laying out stakes; marks points of measurement with required data; assists in measuring between points; places stakes at designated points and specified elevations. Operates all survey equipment including Total Station, GPS Data collector equipment, and Auto Levels. Able to follow detailed instructions and pay close attention to detail. Able to read construction drawings and specifications. Willing to learn new concepts and adopt to new technologies.Skills:Survey, GPS, Land surveying, surveying, total station, land survey, data collection, elevation, layout inspection, layout, data center, earthworks, dirt workAdditional Skills & Qualifications: Educational and experience requirements must include High School diploma or GED. Use Total Station, GPS data collector, auto levels. Ability to collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Providing daily email reports.
