Our extensive global presence offers a diverse range of career opportunities across various industries, nations, and job domains, empowering our workforce to continuously enhance their skills and stay competitive.Create a better tomorrow with us!Siemens Industry Inc. is seeking a Sustainability Professional to support Siemens’ Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products Business in North America (SI EP NA).The Sustainability Professional is responsible for sustainability project execution across SI EP NA and will have a direct impact on achievement of goals within Siemens’ sustainability framework - DEGREE. This role will work closely with Siemens corporate and factory teams to identify sustainability projects that reduce energy, water and resource consumption. Candidates must possess a working knowledge of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles to include sustainability programs/initiatives, environmental management, and engineering principles. The ideal candidate must have the ability/ skills to effectively communicate at all levels of a diverse global organization. The Sustainability Professional will serve as a strategic resource to the SI EP NA sites, provide tools and support to site leadership to achieve Siemens’ goals and objectives.You will make impact with the following responsibilities:

Collaborate with site teams to formulate and execute innovative sustainability strategies that align with Siemens’ objectives and industry best practices.

Coordinate and communicate effectively with corporate resources and site teams on sustainability initiatives and projects to include evaluation, justification, project scope of work, environmental/sustainability impact, design, and funding.

Strategize initiatives and programs to drive engagement around sustainability, including how employees participate and contribute to sustainable growth.

Identify and implement innovative technologies and solutions to reduce energy, water and resource consumption across the business unit.

Conduct life cycle assessments, carbon footprint analyses, emission tracking, energy impact and cost-benefit analysis of sustainability projects.

Serve as business unit’s central contact for sustainability project tracking, data collection, environmental metric reporting, including energy, water and waste as well as carbon and GHG emissions.

Role will partner with other Siemens business units to share best practices, project details and technical knowledge related to sustainability projects.

Collaborate with site EHS contacts for internal reporting as well as environmental regulatory reporting.

Participation in internal and external audit activities, including site and business unit ISO 14001 Environmental Management System audits related to sustainability projects.

Maintain knowledge of sustainability related investment incentives from federal, state, and local governments as well as non-government agencies.

Current knowledge of existing environmental regulations that may be applicable to manufacturing site sustainability projects.

Tracking environmental related Federal, State, and Local regulatory changes known to or that may impact operations.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, or related technical degree

Minimum 6 years’ experience as a sustainability professional or equivalent role.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams relative to sustainability projects/initiatives – waste reduction, energy and water conservation, emissions reductions, etc.

Project management and organizational skills to assess and mitigate project related risks as well as leading/monitoring of project through to completion within budget and time constraints.

Critical thinking and excellent problem-solving skills to analyze complex issues and devise innovative solutions.

Ability to analyze data, recognize business impact and communicate trends.

Familiar with ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System and corresponding requirements as it relates to sustainability initiatives.

Must have strong verbal and written skills.

Individual must be self-directed with the ability to work with limited supervision.

Must be proficient in use of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Experience with Data Analytics and Visualization Software a plus (Tableau, Power BI).

Masters degree preferred

The pay range for this position is $87,000 - $149,200. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
