Job Description: GA DOR - Systems Administrator 1 (703838)Hybrid Position, contract to hire. Either Web Cam or In Person interview.Candidate should be citizen of US or green card holder. Must Be local to Metro AtlantaTHE TAX CLEARANCE LETTER IS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF CANDIDATE SUBMISSIONJob Summary:Under direct supervision, installs, configures, and supports a local area network, wide area network, internet system, computers, desktops and/or mobile devices. Performs necessary maintenance to support network availability.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:-Designs, configures, and tests computer hardware, networking software and operating system software-Diagnoses hardware and software problems, replace defective components-Escalates problems to vendor and/or developer for advanced debugging or software correction-Evaluates new technologies or solutions to improve service and efficiency of systems-Monitors network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made-Operates consoles to monitor performance of the computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use-Performs data backups and disaster recovery operations-Performs routine network startup and shutdown procedures, and maintain control records-Plans, coordinates, and implements network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware-Prepares user instructions and documentation for the installation and operation of software and software upgrades-Perform daily and long-term operational and strategic management of hardware and software-Plan, monitor, and record hardware assets and/or software license to make sure they complied with vendor contracts in different software toolsQualifications:•Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited collegeExperience with SolarWinds Service Desk, Asset Management, and ServiceNow STRONGLY desired.•DOR will conduct a background check on all candidates considered for the position.
