Meridian Cooperative is looking for a

Systems Engineer II (DevOps) to support our DevOps team in our

Atlanta office.

Summary: Designs, develops, supports, and maintains the organization's systems infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware and software. Makes updates to system related installation documentation. Performs end-user support.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation.
  • Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
  • Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and own the human intervention time on any tasks
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
  • Deploying appropriate CI/CD tools, continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
  • Coordinate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering or a related subject
  • 6 to 10 years of experience
  • Advanced scripting skills: Shell Scripting (i.e. Windows PowerShell, bash shell, Perl, Ruby, Python, Ansible Playbooks)
  • Linux and Windows system Admin Skills
  • Must have Atlassian Tools: Jira, bit bucket and Confluence
  • Must have Opensource Tools: Git and Jenkins
  • Advanced experience with automation software (i.e. Ansible, Puppet, Terraforms)
  • Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
