Position Description:Under direct supervision, responsible for assisting in the maintenance of tax records and the preparation of all or specifically assigned tax returns and related reports.Tax AnalystThis position leads or assists with key client engagements from bank/wealth management organizations contracted with the Trust segment within Small Firm Services to provide overall fiduciary tax functions. This includes:1) Production and filing of all wealth management related tax returns2) Leading or assisting with client experiences and all communications and3) Leading and overseeing client engagement to ensure service standards are met and client expectations are exceeded all while the business segment continues to grow.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists Trust Tax Outsourcing Manager with day-to-day activities to ensure: 1) generation and filing of returns during tax season 2) review of transactions during off season and 3) meeting/exceeding client expectations

Monitors quality control of assigned accounts for accurate tax preparation

Answering client tax related questions pertaining to the tax information prepared by this team

Provide various reports to client as needed

Communicating with clients during year on deadlines and deliverables

Assist with establishing processes for servicing customers

Meet all compliance deadlines with IRS and State agencies for assigned accounts and assist in monitoring information for other tax preparers

Recommend and participate in training plans for new and existing employees on tax law changes, internal procedures, and new system enhancements

Collaborate with various internal departments such as Product Management, Support and Service, Development, Marketing, and Sales as needed

Mentoring and coaching team members on our services and the attention needed to our clients

Handle multiple engagements and responsibilities at the same time making sure each client receives the same level of service

OTHER DUTIES:

Acts as an active participant in team meetings and client discussions

Other duties as assigned by Trust Tax Outsourcing Manager

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field a plus

Experience: Excellent oral, written and presentation skills

2+ years’ experience preparing and/or reviewing trust tax returns such as 1041and state related forms, and Agency/Custodial 1099s a plus

Extensive usage of trust tax related software to generate returns in a high production environment a plus

Ability to interact with internal & external clients, assess business challenges and collaboratively define solutions to address key issues

Self-motivated individual who can work with limited direction, while keeping key stakeholders apprised of project status

Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies in large amounts of data being reviewed

Strong PC and business software application skills, including Microsoft office suite – excel

Ability to mentor and assist other team members with questions and/or best practices

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, fluid environment handling multiple tasks and projects concurrently while implementing best practices and focusing on attention to detail

Paramount communication skills

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications: Enrolled Agent, CPA a plus.
