Comfort with ambiguity and a high aptitude for adaptability are necessary.As the ideal candidate, you will be a pragmatic, curious, and responsible individual working with our Tax Consulting practice. This individual has a history of working through ambiguity in volume-oriented environments, solving problems in the data, and finding immense satisfaction in getting work across the finish line. An Analyst in the Tax Consulting practice thrives under pressure, is organized with strong time management skills, and maintains a high level of professionalism. Strong attention to detail, data analysis, creative problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills are required.  You must also demonstrate an ability to manage a variety of tasks within a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and be solution-oriented while keeping tasks prioritized.  The ability to raise issues before they turn into problems is critical.  The ideal candidate also brings creative and strategic solutions to the table to help solve complex problems and is someone who acts as a change agent to evolve processes and challenge current thinking.A successful candidate will:Be exceptionally proficient in Microsoft ExcelUse logic, intuition, and creativity to solve problemsCommunicate professionally both verbally and in writingBoth collaborate with teammates and work independentlyTake initiative and ownership over the quality of their workExercise discretion and judgment when working with confidential client dataAdapt easily to ever-changing client needs, processes, and technologyWhat you’ll be doing:Developing a reasoned plan and approach for analysis based on the client’s specific data files and circumstances and program rulesBuilding standardized data files by reformatting source data when necessaryPerforming quality checks on analysis inputs and maintaining data integrity throughout a projectUsing independent judgment to spot and resolve issues with clients and internal stakeholders and document all steps in the project’s analysis in preparation for auditCalculating Employee Retention Tax Credits, applying the program rules to the client’s specific data and fact patternDelivering high quality, fully compliant results our clients trust to put on their returnIdentifying potential opportunities and risks and communicating these internally and to our clientsParticipating in client calls to walk them through the calculation and explain how it complies with the program’s rules #LI-REMOTE
