Your jobMeets or exceed sales goals as established for sales plan in
assigned territory, primarily through external sales to Vision
customersCompletes all required pre and post sales tasks accurately and
on-time, including CRM entries, Site Surveys, Quotes, Installation and
Training documentation plus ZEISS ContractsProspects and qualifies
potential customers through appointment setting and cold callsStrong
sales focus with the ability to move key opportunities through the sales
cycle, providing detailed and accurate sales forecasts using the
company's CRM toolConsistently use Company's CRM tool for tracking
customer contacts, visit reports and follow-up activitiesWork with sales
team to develop current and new targeted customers, by aggressively
following up on leadsProvide technical product information and procedure
expertise to customersCommunicate with customers in a clear, timely and
effective mannerBuild internal and external relationships; establish
credibility and rapport with customersFollow all pricing and promotion
rules established by Senior DirectorUtilizes available marketing tools,
including sell-in videos, training videos and sell sheets
electronicallyOrganize and schedule tasks, develop realistic goals and
action plans to drive salesAttend various events, e.g., Trade shows,
etc. to generate new business opportunities as directedWill adhere to
all expense reporting rules and complete reports at least once every two
weeksProfessionally and accurately completes device install and
trainings for sales when Field Installer is not availableDeals with
unexpected situations or events, frequent changes, or delaysPerforms
training and troubleshooting at client sitesProactively troubleshoots
hardware and/or software problemsProvides in person, telephone, or
web-based product demonstrations as requested by clients and/or sales
forceProvides weekly reports of all training, troubleshooting and
installation activities as required, utilizing company's CRMProvides
detailed feedback and observation regarding product performance and
usabilityResponsible for developing and maintaining strong working
knowledge of Carl Zeiss Vision products, services, and training
materialsStays up to date on competitor products and activitiesActively
shares competitive information with Senior DirectorWill adhere to all

weeksFollows all safety standards and reports any safety concerns to
leadershipSupport training of co-workers, sharing best practices and

assignedBachelor's degree strongly preferredMinimum 2 years'
experience in optical or capital equipment salesHigh level of ophthalmic
equipment product knowledge preferredExperience in operation of
ECP/Retail optical storeBasic computer/instrumentation networking
preferredEffective consultative, conceptual and negotiation skills with
demonstrated ability to establish influential relationship with
customersGeneral understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology of
the eyeWorking knowledge of refractometry preferredDevelop expertise in
product application and practice management implicationsExcellent
interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skillsSelf-starter with
the ability to work independentlyStrong organizational, presentation
plus written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and company's CRM toolFinancial skills in
