We are seeking a mid-level Test Automation Engineer to join our Quality Engineering practice. In this role you will design, build, and maintain automated test suites for client engagements spanning web, mobile, and API-driven systems. You will work as an embedded member of cross-functional delivery teams, partnering with developers, business analysts, and client stakeholders to make quality a continuous, measurable part of the software delivery lifecycle rather than a final gate. Because this is a consulting role, the technology stack, industry, and team culture will change from project to project. Success depends as much on adaptability and client communication as on technical depth. The ideal candidate is comfortable joining an engagement mid-stream, assessing the existing testing landscape, and recommending a pragmatic automation approach that delivers value within the engagement timeline. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated functional, regression, and integration test suites for web, mobile, and API layers. Build and extend reusable test frameworks using page object, data-driven, and behavior-driven patterns that other engineers can adopt quickly. Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and delivery pipelines so that every build produces meaningful quality signal. Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to translate acceptance criteria into clear, traceable test scenarios. Triage failing tests, isolate root causes, and distinguish product defects from test instability or environment issues. Contribute to performance, accessibility, and security testing efforts in partnership with specialist teams. Define and report quality metrics such as coverage, defect escape rate, and pipeline stability to both technical teams and client leadership. Mentor junior engineers and client team members on automation practices, code review standards, and test design. Participate in agile ceremonies, estimation, and sprint planning, advocating for testability in every story.
