DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTION: Handles logistics for training seminars or workshops by establishing program agendas, arranging for facilities, refreshments, and scheduling speakers. May process registration paperwork of program participants by reviewing completed forms, receiving course fees, recording course attendance, and distributing course materials.Maintains professional growth by participating in educational programs and professional organizations and activities to maintain a knowledge of national trends and to promote leading edge performance and expertise within the department.May assess the effectiveness of training programs by collecting and summarizing data from course participants, developing quality standards by which to measure training effectiveness, and by formally interacting with training participants. Assesses training and educational needs by collecting data through surveys, interviews, and informal discussions to determine programs that need to be offered.May develop various communications materials such as brochures, catalogs, or handouts to make targeted audiences aware of the availability of specific training programs or workshops. May develop descriptions of training sessions or workshops and establishing training schedules. Develops informative mailings and promotional materials. Maintains learning resource materials. Develops and conducts training courses by determining and using the most appropriate methods for adult learning. Performs related responsibilities as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a bachelors degree or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum of 2 years of training experience required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (MediumMax 25lbs): up to 25 lbs, 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 25 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock , Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation , Shift work, Travel may be required.
