The Transportation Operations Onsite team is responsible for driving carrier and service provider performance through collaboration and coordination of people, carriers, and facilities.Their ability to understand and communicate customer needs to multiple stakeholders is crucial to the success of the overall organization. As part of the Transportation Operations Onsite team, the Yard Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the overall organization and movement of all GLO managed equipment on each ATL yard. The position is responsible for completing daily inventory checks of assets (trailers and containers) on each yard within the ATL network.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Perform daily yard checks on all ATL warehouses to ensure equipment dispositions are accurate.Maintain an accurate, up to date account of equipment assets in the yard management system (PINC).Ensure equipment is properly tagged as it enters a warehouse yard.Request and report equipment in need of repair.Work closely with the yard jockeys to ensure trailers are being captured timely (3-4 x’s day).Communicate on yard capacities with solutions to ensure yards remain fluid.Ensure trailer turns and utilization of fleet.Serve as boots on the ground for equipment disposition accuracy.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:Character Driven: Character resonates with people and impels them to trust and follow recommended solutions.Customer Service: Acts and thinks with the customer’s needs in mind.Strong, demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Business tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Google Sheets, GMail, Drive, Google Docs, etc.)Business Communication: Writes, speaks, and presents clearly, succinctly and professionally across a variety of communication settings and adjusts communication style to the audienceAdaptability: Adapts to and embraces change with composure, resilience, and perseverance in the face of constraints, high pressure, and adverse situations.
