job summary:

The application architect will closely work with the enterprise architecture and application development teams to design future solutions. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience architecting, designing, and/or engineering solutions in large public/hybrid clouds (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) and know how to connect with engineering leaders, architects and developers.

In collaboration with the internal IT teams, Managed Service Providers and Center of Competences, this position will give directions regarding software tools and platforms and will be responsible for integrating the new solution components within the existing system landscape. Additionally, he or she will be an active participant in projects for implementation.

Requirements -

  • Bachelor's degree (accredited school) in computer engineering, computer science, engineering or equivalent field.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and deploying software applications.
  • Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies.
  • Coding and designing skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and hands on experience with:
    • Test-driven development
    • Domain-driven design and event driven architectures (hexagonal architecture)
    • Creational, structural and behavioral design patterns
    • Cycomatic and cognitive measures (SonarQube scans)
    • Designing and implementing Microservice architecture
    • Messaging and streaming (MQ and Kafka)
    • Monitoring and tracing requests through distributed systems
  • Process/Project development in the automotive field and specifically areas of sales, distribution and logistics
  • Knowledge of IT security, IT infrastructure, Scalability, Middleware, Integration and Application Recovery
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

    • GIT repositories and teams
    • Jenkins pipelines
    • Black Duck scans
    • Kubernetes clusters and namespaces
    • Helm for deploying images into Kubernetes
  • Integration activities when implementing a new solution within existing systems.
  • Providing effort estimates for work packages, timeline management, and communications to support the business throughout the various systems supported.
  • Maintain current and accurate system documentation for new and existing applications.
