We’re looking for energetic, curious, and team-oriented people to join our staff for the next Legislative Session. You’ll work closely with elected officials, witness important decision-making, and gain skills you can take anywhere.
Location: State Capitol, Honolulu
Dates: Legislative Session from December/January through May (Temporary Full Time Positions)
Hours: Schedules are determined by individual offices, but most full-time temporary positions follow standard office hours of 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Some evenings and weekends may be needed to meet deadlines.
What You’ll Do:
Review and summarize bills, reports, and other documents.
Help draft resolutions and committee reports.
Prepare testimony packets for hearings.
Coordinate hearings and meetings.
You’ll thrive if you:
Can interact professionally with lawmakers, staff, and the public.
Are comfortable juggling multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
Have Microsoft Word/Excel experience.
Salaries for full-time non-attorney positions range from $2,240 - $4,400 depending upon responsibilities and applicants' qualifications. Optional health benefits available.
