COOK

Prep Work

Wash, peel, and chop vegetables, herbs, and aromatics (e.g., garlic, chili, lemongrass, galangal).

Portion and marinate proteins (chicken, beef, shrimp, tofu) according to daily menu needs.

Prepare curry pastes, sauces, and condiments in advance for smooth service flow.

Label and date all prepped items and store properly per health guidelines.

Replenish mise en place and ensure backup prep is ready for peak hours.

Wok Cooking

Execute made-to-order stir-fried dishes (e.g., Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Basil Chicken) quickly and consistently using a high-BTU wok burner.

Maintain wok station cleanliness and organization during service.

Monitor heat levels, oil usage, and cooking times for precision and speed.

Coordinate with front-of-house or expeditor to ensure correct order timing and plating.

Clean and season the wok daily to preserve its integrity and performance.=

Cleaning & Maintenance

Wipe down all work surfaces, prep tables, and stove areas before and after shifts.

Sweep and mop kitchen floors at end of day or between shifts.

Take out trash and sanitize bins at close of shift.

Assist in weekly deep cleaning of kitchen equipment and storage.

Additional Responsibilities

Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols (e.g., glove use, temperature checks).

Maintain personal hygiene and proper kitchen dress code (e.g., apron, hat, gloves).

Report low stock levels and supply needs to kitchen manager or owner.

Support team members with inventory, or kitchen tasks as needed.

DISHWASHER/PREP COOK

Dishwashing & Cleaning

Hand-wash all pots, pans, utensils, woks, and serving ware using a 3-sink method (wash, rinse, sanitize)

Scrub kitchen tools, surfaces, and equipment thoroughly

Clean sinks, counters, and sweep/mop floors during and after shifts

Take out trash and recycling and sanitize bins as needed

Ensure dish station and back-of-house area remain tidy and organized

Prep Cook Support

Wash and chop vegetables, herbs, and ingredients as directed by the cook

Portion proteins (chicken, beef, tofu, shrimp) for stir-fry or grill

Make rice, portion curry paste, stock sauces, or prep garnishes

Restock line stations and kitchen supplies as needed

Light Cooking Duties

Assist with cooking or assembling simple dishes like appetizers (e.g. spring rolls, fried tofu, satay skewers)

Use fryer, steamer, or grill as trained

Plate small items with care and speed during busy shifts

Follow food safety and cleanliness standards at all times

SERVER

Dine-In Service

Greet guests with a warm, friendly attitude and seat them promptly

Take food and beverage orders clearly and accurately

Answer menu questions and make recommendations (training provided)

Serve food and drinks with attention to timing and presentation

Check on guests during meals and handle any service concerns

To-Go & Cashier Duties

Answer phone orders and online delivery platforms with accuracy

Pack and label takeout orders neatly and correctly

Operate POS system to process payments (cash, card, delivery apps)

Handle transactions honestly and close out the register when needed

Front-of-House Cleaning & Organization

Wipe down tables, chairs, menus, and condiment stations between guests

Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors in the dining and front counter areas

Restock utensils, napkins, to-go containers, and drink stations

Keep entry area clean and welcoming

Cook: $14 - $18 an hr + tips | Dishwasher/Prep: $15 - 17 an hr | Sever: $14 - $14.50 an hr + tips
