This position will be focused on supporting the design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation of a Software Defined Datacenter (SDDC) supporting the US Navy. Other responsibilities include:- Provide support and maintenance of VMware SDDC hyperconverged infrastructure. Support includes general maintenance, patching, and upgrades of both lab and fielded systems.
- Provide technical support and system engineering for all Windows-based platforms to include Windows Active Directory, WSUS, and Horizon View VDI
- Strong experience with VMWare vCenter and ESXi required.
- Experienced with Red Hat Linux systems, automation tools such as Ansible is highly desired
- Experience with storage solutions and protocols such as, NFS, iSCSI and SMB/CIFS is highly desired
- Experience with backup solutions such as Rubrik, Veeam or equivalent is highly desired
- Documentation experience highly desired. The position will require writing and updating a variety of government related documentation including test plans, configuration guides, product evaluations and more.
- Implement, test, and evaluate upgrades.
- Review IAVA's, STIG's and be able to remediate and troubleshoot advanced system issues.
- Apply necessary security patches based on DoD STIG requirements.
- Upgrade code or operating system to remediate software vulnerabilities.
- Ability to view current infrastructure and identify areas for improvement.
- Knowledge of basic routing and switching and experience with firewalls or other security appliances such as FortiGate, Juniper or Cisco desired.
- Knowledge or experience with VDI solutions such as Horizon View or Citrix is highly desired
