Experienced Painters Wanted

GM Construction, Inc. is looking for journeyman level painters to join our team.

We are a construction company that specializes in building custom, luxury homes on the west side of the island. Most of our work being in Hualalai, Kukio and Kohanaiki resorts.

This job includes latex and oil based finishes. Full prep and finish of walls and wood. As well moving/transporting paint materials and building materials.

Must have experience painting and staining, with an emphasis on quality work.

We are looking for someone who is well mannered, organized, and takes pride in the work they do.

PAY SCALES

APPRENTICE ($25/HR)

Basic knowledge of finishing from raw. 3-5yrs

I. Has understanding and practice in many but not all aspects of trade.

II. Can handle prep projects from start to finish with little guidance

III. Still learning how to use all equipment

IV. Has understanding of processes of prep

V. Has at least 3 yrs of practice laying off most types of finishes (oil, latex)

JOURNEYMAN ($32/HR)

5+ yrs experience

I. Full knowledge of trade

II. Full understanding of all equipment and proper care procedures

III. Familiar with all products and materials

IV. Master of techniques

V. Needs no guidance to complete a project from prep to finish

VI. Ability to teach others the trade

Requirements:

- Drug-Free (must pass a drug test at hire and randomly during employment)

- Reliable Transportation (with Valid Driver's License, Registration, and Insurance)

- Willing/Able to Work 40 Hours Per Week (7:30am to 4:00pm M-F)
