Aloha!

We are a busy flower shop in business for 32 years, looking for a longterm florist/florist assistant to work about 20-30 hours per week to help hydrate, process, arrange and wrap roses, lilies and sunflowers in Kaimuki. This is not our retail store location, so you won't work directly with customers, except for one customer who comes in weekly to pick up rose petals.

Even though we work hard, the culture is really casual. You can dress comfortably, listen to music or podcasts while you work with the beautiful flowers. It is very therapeutic and low stress. We have a great company culture - everyone can be themselves.

If you have the right attitude, experience is not necessary although preferred. I'm looking for someone reliable who is on time and works efficiently on their own, and has great attention to detail. You need to be able to lift boxes and buckets up to 20 pounds or so, and be physically able to perform the tasks of the job.

We are either looking for two people to work 10-15 hours or one person to work 20-30 hours a week. After training is done, you can make your own schedule, except for Tuesdays when we get shipment in, since I need you there to receive and hydrate the flowers on that day. Most of the work is done Tuesdays-Saturdays but it's pretty flexible so we can discuss. I don't mind if you have to run errands and split your shift into two. I understand people have lives so I want this to work for the right person, as long as you get your job done with excellence, I don't care what time you do it.

$15 for training as an assistant and goes up to $20 an hour once you're fully trained as a florist. It's up to you how quickly you learn.

Call me directly 808-341-2352. We are looking to hire someone very soon, as soon as Tuesday.

Mahalo! Cindy
