Hotel Room Attendant

The Room Attendant plays a vital role in creating a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience for guests by ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. In this small boutique hotel, this position reflects the property’s personalized service and attention to detail, often serving as a behind-the-scenes ambassador for the guest experience. By maintaining impeccable standards of cleanliness, order, and presentation, the Room Attendant directly contributes to guest satisfaction, repeat visits, and the overall reputation of the hotel. We are looking for a part-time Room Attendant for the Castle @ Waikiki Grand Hotel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Clean and reset guest rooms daily according to hotel standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, and replenishing amenities.

Inspect rooms to ensure they meet cleanliness and presentation standards prior to guest arrival.

Report any maintenance issues, damaged items, or missing supplies promptly to the supervisor or maintenance team.

Restock housekeeping carts and storage closets with linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities.

Handle guest requests courteously and efficiently, ensuring prompt and professional service.

Maintain cleanliness and order in assigned hallways, stairwells, and public areas.

Adhere to safety and sanitation policies, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Assist with laundry duties, special cleaning projects, or deep-cleaning tasks as assigned.

Support team members to ensure timely completion of daily assignments and seamless guest service.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is desirable, especially in a boutique or small hotel environment.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Friendly, professional demeanor and commitment to guest satisfaction.

Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 30 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Three (3) years experience.

On the job training is provided.

PAY RATE: $15.00 - $16.00 / hour
