Description Robert Half is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician for an on-site long-term contract role in Honolulu. The position involves assisting in the operational management of imaging informatics platforms. The responsibilities include system data management, worklist management, and performance monitoring of servers and network components to support 24/7 operations. The technician will provide IT support to workstation hardware and software while maintaining system workflow and standards as per the company's guidelines. The role works on an alternating schedule, switching between day and night shifts, and directly reports to the IT Manager.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The role calls for proven experience in computer and informational data systems, preferably in a healthcare environment.
Guidance on system upgrades and maintenance should be provided to the IT Clinical Team whenever necessary.
Duties will include testing and operational support of digital imaging (PACS) and ancillary systems. This also involves operating systems, networking, software, and system administration.
Ability to analyze and monitor system performance and to make recommendations for improvement and stability proactively.
Responsible for troubleshooting, making repairs and liaising with system vendors to maintain diagnostic reading stations.
The technician should work in collaboration with the Clinical Team to recommend workflow communication changes and conduct quality assurance checks to ensure standard practices.
Remote troubleshooting and repair of PACS software-related issues across multiple facilities are required.
Requirements
SKILLS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) qualification is necessary.
A minimum of three years of experience in business, organizational development, informatics or related technology fields is required.
Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and exceptional motivational and leadership abilities are essential.
The job demands the ability to work under pressure or in stressful situations while maintaining focus on details.
A strong background in computer systems, general networking, and software/hardware troubleshooting is required.
Previous experience in providing training implementation and troubleshooting of technical systems (software and hardware) will be an advantage.
