Janitor Housekeeper

A Janitor/Housekeeper is a professional who is a vital part of any business. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy facility by completing various tasks. We are looking for a Janitor, or Housekeeper, to help take care of our building.

The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition.

Mopping & vacuuming floors, disinfecting surfaces and restrooms and emptying trash and recy-cle cans.

Cleaning and supplying designated building areas

Performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities

Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects as needed

Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)

Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs

Stock and maintain supply rooms

Work well with the rest of the staff

Follow all health and safety regulations

Landscaping- Lawn mowing/weed eating is done every Wednesday by the Maintenance Chief, unless otherwise scheduled. Your assistance is needed to help remove debris resulting from all landscaping activities.

Cleaning of rubbish & dead/fallen shrubbery on lawn, sidewalks, and street gutters around property. Daily checking & cleaning of weeds in between plants.

Requirements and skills

Must be reliable and have the ability to work independently

Proven working experience as a Janitor

Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies

Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets

Integrity and ability to work independently

High school degree
