Java Developer

TEKsystems is looking for a Java Developer to support one of the local companies here in Hawaii! This will be a fully remote opportunity, working HST. Description:TEKsystems is currently seeking a Full Stack Java Developer to support a local company and their team responsible for building HR Symphony, an online HR and Payroll application developed in Hawaii for Hawaii's employers. This team maintains a dynamic work environment where they challenge one another and exchange ideas to create exceptional products. Therefore, TEKsystems is looking for an individual with the right skills and experience to join this talented team. Looking for a candidate with experience developing HRIS/HRMS/HCM, time & attendance, scheduling, and/or experience with payroll applications is a huge plus.Responsibilities

Contribute to the continually evolving HR platform.

Write elegant, maintainable, and extensible code in a team environment.

Implement and perform tests to ensure the delivery of a high-quality product.

Collaborate with other team members on the design and implementation of new features.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

Three or more years of web development experience with Java 8 (Servlet and JSP), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; MySQL; Object Orientated programming and Model View Controller architecture; Agile development methodologies; Source control such as GIT.

Experience developing HRIS/HRMS/HCM, time & attendance, scheduling, and/or payroll applications a plus.

Great team player with the ability to collaborate as well as self-direct and work without supervision.

Multi-tasking skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Flexibility with mySQL

HRMS, payroll domain experience is a plus

Domain knowledge is a plus
