Position Overview Infinity Systems Engineering is in search of MUOS Network Operator to join our dynamic Infinity team in support of our V2X prime contractor at the NCTAMS PAC facility in Wahiawa, Hawaii. The NCTAMS PAC Satellite Communications (SATCOM) facility in Wahiawa, Hawaii is the backbone of the U.S. military’s communication, offering the warfighter a point of entrance into the DoDIN and legacy tactical C4I services with reliable high-throughput telecommunications utilizing various RF spectrum bands, including use of the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) - the Defense Department’s next-generation narrowband military satellite communications system. It will support a worldwide, multiservice population of UHF band users, providing increased communications capabilities to smaller terminals while still supporting interoperability with legacy terminals. MUOS is designed to support users that require mobility, high data rates and improved operational availability Primary Responsibilities
Monitoring and reporting the status of MUOS system service and functional capability
Maintaining MUOS system settings and configurations to support worldwide users
Supporting, troubleshooting, and SATCOM service restoration efforts
Supporting MUOS system maintenance and coordination of scheduled outages (OSIs)
Creating and provide MUOS system capability reports, as required
Minimum Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience in satellite communications (SATCOM) systems monitoring and support, including hands-on troubleshooting and service restoration
Proficiency in configuring and maintaining satellite communication systems, with a strong understanding of MUOS (Mobile User Objective System) technology and its operational parameters
Proven ability to analyze system performance and create detailed capability reports, with strong problem-solving skills to support system maintenance and outage coordination
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with MUOS is strongly desired
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience in telecommunications or satellite communication systems. 2 -4 years of relevant operational experience required in lieu of degree.
