Property Maintenance Specialist – West Hawaii (Private Residence)

Schedule: Monday to Friday with on-call availability on weekends and holidays when the family is in residence.

Compensation: $42-45/hour DOE + full benefits, 401(k) match, and annual bonus potential.

The Property Maintenance Specialist supports the maintenance and engineering needs of a large private residence and nearby properties in West Hawaii. This role ensures the property is maintained to a 5-star standard through proactive system oversight, repairs, and general upkeep. The Specialist works closely with other team members and approved vendors to ensure timely, high-quality work.

Core Responsibilities:

-Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen appliances, plumbing, lighting, irrigation, solar systems, and mechanical systems.

-Support upkeep and troubleshooting of IT/AV systems (Savant/Crestron/Lutron experience a plus).

-Conduct regular walk-throughs and inspections of interior and exterior spaces.

-Schedule, coordinate, and oversee vendor and contractor work.

-Maintain organized work/storage areas and track tools, supplies, and parts inventory.

-Keep accurate maintenance logs, schedules, and repair documentation using maintenance software.

-Respond to maintenance needs and emergencies when the family is in residence.

-Assist with occasional travel to nearby properties as needed.

Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience in residential or hospitality/resort property maintenance preferred; trade school graduates welcome.

-Hands-on proficiency across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, irrigation, and appliance repair.

-HVAC certifications, carpentry/wood finishing skills, and pool knowledge are a strong plus.

-Comfortable using maintenance management software and standard computer tools.

-Valid Hawaii driver’s license and clean driving record.

-Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
