Recycling Enthusiast and Scale Master

Are you passionate about recycling, sustainability, and making a difference for our island and our ‘āina?

PB Sullivan Construction and Hawaii Organics Compost are looking for a dedicated, organized, and eco-minded individual to manage our scale house operations and oversee the day-to-day management of our green waste site.

Key Responsibilities:

-Operate the scale house, accurately weighing incoming and outgoing materials

-Track green waste volumes and maintain detailed records

-Greet and assist customers, contractors, and delivery drivers with professionalism

-Ensure proper sorting and processing of green waste

-Monitor site safety and cleanliness

-Oversee equipment and coordinate with composting team as needed

-Support deliveries, pickups, and material sales

-Help educate customers about composting best practices

Qualifications:

-Enthusiasm for recycling, composting, and sustainability

-Excellent communication and organizational skills

-Comfortable working outdoors and in a hands-on environment

-Experience operating scale systems or willingness to learn

-Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting

-Prior experience in waste management, agriculture, or landscaping is a plus

-Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate or assist with machinery (training provided)
