Senior Software Quality EngineerThe Senior Software Quality Engineer develops complex validation solutions and performs analysis to ensure that software products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards. This includes developing customized validation solutions for the organization’s complex contractual client services deliverables and reviewing methods and procedures for applicability on new assignments. The ideal candidate should be able to work well in a remote team environment with limited instruction and demonstrate good judgment in implementing methods and techniques for obtaining results.LOCATION: Remote within the USIn this role you will:

Use SAS as a primary programming language to meet the challenges of advanced data manipulation, complicated programming logic, and large volumes of data.

Experience with SAS/BASE, SAS/SQL, SAS/MACROS, SAS/GRAPH, SAS/STAT, SAS Enterprise Guide.

Effectively query, analyze, and interpret data.

Proficient at working in a multi-tasking remote team environment using programming skills.

Report progress on problem resolution to management and team.

Suggest improvements to current procedures.

Perform workflow analysis and recommend quality improvements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Mentor and guide junior team members.

Stay updated on industry trends.

Accountable for on-time completion of assigned tasks.

Preferred requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or appropriate combination of education and experience.

At least 5 years of experience in a software development role.

Prior experience using SAS in a SAS Grid environment.

Detailed-oriented and able to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner.

Python programming experience a plus.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location.
