Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including bank reconciliations, account reconciliation, and working with the general ledger. Preference will be given to applicants currently residing in Hawaii due to the nature of the job requirements.Responsibilities: Conducting bank reconciliations to ensure all financial data is accurate. Utilizing Sage Accounting Software for various accounting tasks. Preparing and posting journal entries to the general ledger. Reconciling accounts to maintain accurate records. Collaborating with other team members to prepare full cycle financial statements. Assisting in the development of financial statements and reports. Reviewing and implementing financial policies for improved financial management. Providing support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. Participating in financial audits and cooperating with our external auditors. Reporting any issues or discrepancies found in financial documents to management.Requirements Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role as a Staff Accountant Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations Experience with General Ledger management Familiarity with Journal Entries Proficient in using Sage Accounting Software Experience in Account Reconciliation Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Knowledge of state and federal financial regulations Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) credentials are a plus.
