Our fast-growing firm is searching for a talented, detail-driven Staff Accountant to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and performing bank reconciliations. Your expertise in general ledger management, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and journal entries will be crucial to this position. Preference will be given to applicants currently residing in Hawaii due to the nature of the job requirements.Responsibilities: Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately. Perform bank reconciliations, ensuring all financial transactions align with bank statements. Process accounts payable, ensuring all invoices are paid in a timely manner. Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately reflected. Review financial records regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies. Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure all financial operations are running smoothly. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and guidelines. Provide support to other team members as needed. Assist in the improvement of financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Requirements Candidate should hold a Bachelor's or Honours Degree in a relevant field. Proficiency in handling General Ledger is mandatory. Experience in Bank Reconciliations is required. Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary. Capability to manage Journal Entries is essential. Applicant must have a strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are crucial. Good business acumen for problem-solving is desirable. Competency in Microsoft Office, databases, and accounting software is expected. An ability to work independently and as part of a team is needed. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are required.
