Tree Worker - Tree Trimmer, Groundsman, and Climber

Looking to start another crew to handle an increase in jobs. One or two employees must be able to drive one of my commercial trucks so type 4 license or above is needed eventually. Please don't apply if you only want to drive a big truck. You must be willing to either do grounds or climb as well.

Growing tree service and commercial landscaping company looking for experienced candidates who are able to drive a boom or chipper truck with a chipper in tow, trim trees, tree removals, handle groundwork, and lead a team if needed. The ideal candidate will be required to do all types of tree service work as well which would be doing grounds work, tree trimming, and removals. I would like one of the candidates to have experience in driving a boom or chipper truck with a chipper in tow. A climber would be a big plus to the team no matter the skill level with at least one knowing how to climb using a mechanical device and spikes. You must be willing to learn how to use all our company equipment and proper maintenance. The driver must have proper licensing and be experienced in driving for this position. A type 4 or CDL license is a big plus but isn't required at first. You must be able to get at least a type 4 license or CDL license within 1 year of getting hired. My trucks are parked in Waipahu so must be able to pick them up there to head to the job site.

Must-Have:

- 1+ yrs of experience in the tree industry which includes ground work, tree trimming, and removals.

- If driving, 1+ yrs of experience driving boom or chipper trucks with no major infractions on your driver's record

- If climbing, 1+ years of experience proper trimming techniques, rigging limbs, and removing all sizes of trees.

- Knowledge of all proper safety equipment and arborist tools.

Nice to Have:

- Intermediate or expert tree climbing experience

- Intermediate or expert tree industry experience

- Certifications such as CDL, boom truck worker, tree worker, and arborist

This job is 5 days / 40 hrs per week. There is no overtime unless I approve it for large projects. The company is growing so this could lead to a more challenging position in the future.
