Certified Nursing Assistant Dyp

JOB SUMMARY The Certified Nursing Assistant partners with our residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care. The Transitional Rehabilitation Unit occupies the second floor of the d'Youville Pavilion. This 42-bed unit provides short-term, skilled nursing and rehab services to patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other illnesses or injuries of a short-term nature where a rehab approach might be beneficial. Nursing services often include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management. JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION

Graduate of Maine State Board-approved CNA course

Valid on the State of Maine CNA registry

EXPERIENCE

1-3 years previous CNA experience preferred

Will consider new CNA's with relevant work experience

OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED

Medical terminology preferred

Strong teamwork and communication skills are required.

The ability to work well within a team of other care providers

Flexibility required to cover 24 hours/day, 7 days per week

Flexibility to float to other units as needed
